Energy Market Analyst
ESAI Energy, LLC, an energy research firm, located in Wakefield, MA, is seeking candidates for a position as a mid-level or senior Market Analyst.
The position entails the management and ongoing development of relevant data sets, forecasting, extensive writing, and occasional presenting. The analyst will perform research and analysis of energy markets, integrating quantitative analysis with qualitative understanding of regulation and policy. The position also involves work on bespoke client projects across a broad range of geography and industry.
This position represents an excellent career opportunity in the energy sector as well as market research and consulting. Compensation will include a combination of salary and performance bonus as well as potential membership in the LLC.
Candidates should meet many or all of the following criteria: previous full-time work experience; academic background in economics/international relations/political science, or related discipline(s), graduate degree preferred; knowledge of MS Excel; data science skills like R, data visualization; writing and presenting skills; and knowledge of foreign languages, such as Spanish.
Ability to integrate quantitative analysis with qualitative understanding of regulation and policy is critical to success in this position. Expertise in oil, natural gas, refining, biofuels, or the energy transition is preferred but not required, as the candidate will learn about energy markets on the job.
Candidates should be American citizens or have visa documents that allow them to work in the United States. Firm is in Wakefield, MA. Remote employment will be considered.
